Seems to me you have too much time on your hands. You have spent a lot of time bad-mouthing Intuit and making statements about whose fault it is which you can not support. With all the time you have spent posting here, you could have manually updated your prices and spared us your sour-grapes. If you are so hot to run to Money, be my guest - don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Crack Product Code For Norton Internet Security 2010 Free. Charley Wilcoxon 150 Rudimental Solos Pdf Printer. Yes, I am very unhappy with Intuit - this problem has continued for a week - maybe Q 2002 works and the problem only affects older versions - but if so, then Intuit deserves worse than just complaints. Manual updates are problematic because if you Online Update afterwards, then your correct manually entered data is overwritten with incorrect data - for example, I just manually entered Fridays closing price for a Vanguard fund for the 7/26 date, then Online Updated and the system overwrote the correct price with Thursdays closing price.

>>The solution is not knocking someone who has the problem but >putting some pressure on intuit for some answers. This is for you, the other Richard, and anyone else who is interested. 1.) Intuit does not 'acknowledge' to anyone in the way you are referring to, and especially not here. This is not news - do you read this group? Why would they start now?
2.) Noting the problem 1000 times does nothing in the way of a helping find a solution - and, whatever response you would have gotten would not be improved by adding more postings saying the same thing. 3.) If it is so all-fired important, why is it that so many people started their own threads without even looking to see if anyone else had already reported the problem here? It seems more like just an opportunity to vent - I can think of better places to do that. 4.) It is highly unlikely that this problem has to do with a Quicken version. There have already been posts noting that some Q2000 and Q2001 users have not been having the problem. 5.) I am almost certain that Intuit does not supply quotes directly so a more likely candidate for the source of the problem is the source of the quotes. And there may actually be multiple sources: that is, some people may be getting quotes from one server and some from another server.
If one server is having problems, I feel relatively certain that its owner and Intuit actually really do 'care'. It is just ignorant to suggest otherwise.
And the causes of problems are not related to the desires of those who want the problems fixed: if your car breaks down on the way to the airport, do you accuse the mechanic of not caring if he can not fix it before your flight leaves? Especially if you have absolutely *no* idea what the problem is? 6.) You may have noticed that the markets have been extremely busy and volatile lately - a little thought might suggest that perhaps some institutions were having some difficulty either computing their mutual fund prices, or getting them available, or that other institutions were having difficulty getting at those prices. 7.) Comparing the availability and accuracy of data between two servers for one day or one week is meaningless. Before telling us how great Money (or any other financial software) is, please supply us with a comparative record for something like 365 consecutive days. 8.) Those who require instant quotes 24/7 would be better served paying those who have the quotes directly - and even then, I am not certain that anyone will guarantee you quotes 24/7 via the internet.
Securities prices thru Quicken are quite cheap, and you get what you pay for. Quicken is not designed for day trading. 9.) Patience is a virtue and bad mouthing Intuit will not increase your chances of getting relief. 10.) I am well aware that subsequent downloads overlay old prices (though that is only if a price for that date is downloaded, the odds of which decrease as time goes by). But that is precisely what allows you to rest assured that when the correct prices are available the incorrect ones will be replaced. But you missed my point entirely.
It seemed as if you were frantic to get some current prices, perhaps to see some reports in Quicken, etc. If so, it would have behooved you to enter them manually and prepare your reports (before you next attempted to download prices) - then you could have waited patiently while those who caused the quote problem fixed it.
Instead you were busy patrolling every thread in this group to get in your one-cent worth - which contributed nothing. Today was normal. It was a minor inconvenience at the worst; certainly not a serious problem, as far as I'm concerned. -- Ken Blake Please reply to the newsgroup Richard Yost 29.07.02 19:19. 'DG' wrote in message news.
This problem is continuing, as of Monday evening, at least for Q2000. There have been reports it is not happening with Q2002.
CAN OTHERS CONFIRM IF THE PROBLEM EXISTS for Q2001 and Q2002? The specific problem is: when you Online Update in the evening, the system puts the previous business days mutual fund closing prices in your file, instead of putting the current days closing prices in your file (stock prices are ok).
For example, this evening (Monday) the system is still putting Friday's closing mutual fund prices in your file. Note: to check the current days closing prices, go to another website (not Quicken.com because some of the time last week it did not have current data either) like or and enter your mutual fund symbol. At some time, early the next business day morning, the previous days closing price starts showing up - so if you check during the daytime, everything will look normal, since the current days closings prices have normally not been available until 15 to 30 minutes after 6 PM eastern time. I'm not having a problem with 2002, but it's hard to imagine that this sort of thing would be version-specific. Regardless of version, the same server with the same data is used. -- Ken Blake Please reply to the newsgroup Richard Yost 31.07.02 17:24. 'DG' wrote in message news.
After more research, the situation looks like this. For Q2000 and earlier versions, closing mutual fund prices do not show up using Online Update, until sometime the next business day morning. Apparently Q2002 does not have this problem (and 2001?). This problem started as of 7-22. Before then, the current days closing prices were Online Updated after 6:30 pm eastern time (if not slightly earlier). Today I called Intuit and they said they were aware of the problem, and while the representative tried to be helpful, he was unable to say if/when this problem would be resolved.
Since this was a bug, there was no charge for the call (although it is not a toll free number - 520-618-7130 for Q2000 Windows users). They have had server problems during the past 10 days; and they are making changes. There was another post to this message board that described using Yahoo Finance to download prices, then import into Quicken. I tried this but was unable to get it to work (I was able to download, but when I import the csv file, I get error message 'File not found or unreadable').
If anyone knows how to import security prices, into Q2000, from a website, please post the method to this board. (please don't suggest doing it manually - need to update too many prices).
