Love the style, colour everything! But has anyone used this?

I'm a decent chunk into my project. And its really starting to get hard to get. It just seems like its lacking in loads of different ways! I've heard of other users making add ons just to get by with it - Eg Making a custom bed tile and nightstand! Should I call it quits? Start with another, or brave through it?

Be really interested to hear from someone that has used this. Thanks in advance. Here's an example of what i'm working on with it. Train Station. I actually made the pack.

It's awesome to see people using it. The train station looks good. Creative use of the tiles.:D I'll admit that the pack can be hard to use. That's a cost of having versatility.

Plus, some tiles on the B layer go with tiles on the A layer, so it can take some practice. Here's my advice from you, as an experienced RPG Maker user: If your game is intended to be on the smaller size (especially if it's one of your first projects), then stick with the tiles and work with what you've got.

The important thing at this stage is to get a game made. If it's not, and you're more experienced with the program, and have a particularly specific vision for your game's environments, then any tileset will lack all of the pieces you're looking for. This set in particular was designed to provide enough graphics for a generic-modern setting, but it's lacking some variety if you want your game to have a larger scale with more unique locations. If you're familiar with pixel art at all (my site has ), the style of the graphics pack is simple enough that anybody should be able to add custom tiles that don't seem out of place. It was intentionally designed that way to take advantage of the simple old-school style.

An expansion pack has been planned with more locations and more characters, but unfortunately I've been super busy and progress on it hasn't been particularly speedy. I'm glad you like the pack though. Hopefully you stick with it and we can see some sweet stuff from your game. Hey, great work with this pack! As I said I really do love it. A lot of the issues i'll hopefully be able to edit myself.

(thanks for the tutorial link) One of the things thats killing me at the moment is not being able to make the coloured roof on houses any deeper. But thats an easy fix - its just missing the flat top tile with the line on the left and right side - So I'm going to try a hand at editing it myself. I couldn't tell you how much i'd love to see the second pack of this though!

Definitely take the time to finish it. - If you need someone to test out those tiles for you drop me a line.;) (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). My project would thank you for it!

I'm trying to make a game with a new spin on the whole non battle rpg / puzzler game. Locations will vary so there'll be a lot more where that train station came from! I'll keep you updated with screenshots if I make anything particularly nice. Thanks again.
