A beep code is the audio signal given out by a computer to announce the result of a short diagnostic testing sequence the computer performs when first powering up (called the Power-On-Self-Test or POST ). The POST is a small program contained in the computer’s Basic Input/Output Operating System ( BIOS ) that checks to make sure necessary hardware is present and required memory is accessible. If the computer passes the POST, the computer may give a single beep (some computers may beep twice) as it starts and continue to boot.

Q: bluetooth driver, windows 7, x64, mini usb bluetooth dongle. SOLUTION: I went to the Toshiba site, which automatically handed me on to Microsoft.com, which then seemed to sense that I had Win7-64bit, and installed a generic stack and driver, and VOILA! Reply In reply to Carlos Atashian's post on October 8, 2009.

However, if the computer fails the POST, the computer will either not beep or generate a beep code that tells the user the source of the problem. Here you can find the descriptions of “beep codes” from popular BIOS manufacturers: •.

I recently upgraded my Pavilion dv2700tv to Windows 10. The upgrade went well but there were some problems that I can not overcome. Drivers for the HP Bluetooth Module would not work in Windows 10 and no drivers were installed using windows update. I went to Broadcom's website and download the drivers that were supposed to work with the module but no joy was found. After several days for exploring and trying out different drivers, I settled on Broadcom's Driver version 12.0.0. Wham The Final Torrent Download. 4051, driver date 11/8/2012. This driver works with the module.

Windows 10 Action Center recognizes the driver and provides a button that can be toggled on and off. The problem is I can pair a device(phone, headset) but I can't connect to a device. I toggle on the connect button but my device does not appear in the connection list. Are there any drivers that are compatible with windows 10 and the HP Bluetooth Module where I can not only pair but connect to external devices? Thanks for your help. Please let me know how this goes. Thanks for responding to my post for help.

I was able to find a driver that seems to work but not fully. The button in Action Center toggles on and off appropriately. I can pair devices sucessfully however, it won't connect to the device. All of my devices are listed but their is no way to connect even after pressing the Connect button in Action Center.

HP's drivers won't work in Windows 10 environment. A dialog box pops up and states that it won't work and is not compatible with Windows 10 and at times further states that Broadcom drivers don't work in Windows 10 so I downloaded Broadcom's drivers anyway and it appeared to work but not fully. I've dedicated many hours troubleshooting this issue but as of this writing.no joy.

Any help would be appreciated. This laptop is a pretty compitant laptop and I would like to get it fully working.

I also get the 'Not equal or less IRQL netwlv64. Not often but enough to annoy me:-). Pogostyx wrote: Thanks for responding to my post for help.

Not often but enough to annoy me:-) This means instability in the driver and most likely isn't the right BT driver. So unless HP comes with a driver to match their HP BT you need to revert back to the Original O/S to remain using BT. Eamples GTA V or Crysis 3. HI.I have the latest BIOS (F.2E) for the main board.

I haven't adjusted the BIOS settings but based on your recommendation, I reset to the default. The issues remain.

Someone linked to my post and recommended that I revert back to my previous OS. What a bummer! After all the work I put into Window's 10 for someone to recommend that I revert back to the previous OS made me sick.flagrant, idiotic suggestion. Maybe a bluetooth dongle would be an appropriate solution to tackle this issue until MS provides a driver that actually works.
